Responding to the Law Commission’s Consultation

If you want to respond straight away, you can:

• contribute through our on-line survey system
• use our on-line system to respond to the specific issues raised by the Consultation
• send us your written response
• send your written response direct to the Law Commission.

If you send your response via the UK Register of Expert Witnesses, we will pass it on, untouched, to the Law Commission. But we will also be able to collate the responses of all interested experts. This has the twin benefits of allowing us to report back to you on the views expressed by your expert colleagues, and to compare them with the Law Commission’s conclusions.

Time to think

The consultation is open until 7 July 2009. We will be conducting a number of surveys in the coming weeks to look at specific elements of these proposals. So if you wish, you can wait to respond to these requests for specific input on issues whilst mulling over the broader implications of the proposals.
