... forensic insights for litigation lawyers

Before any article can be accepted for publication in ForeSight our Publishing Licence has to be agreed by the author. The main terms of the Publishing Licence are:

First World Right

The author grants to J S Publications the exclusive first publication right in the article, and the non-exclusive rights thereafter, to publish and authorise the publication of the article, including variations thereof, in all forms and media throughout the world.

Consideration

In consideration for the above grant of rights, and subject to delivery of acceptable material, J S Publications hereby undertakes to prepare for publication and publish the article unless prevented by circumstances beyond their control.

Waiver of copyright

The author hereby waives all moral rights to which he or she is entitled pursuant to The Copyright, Designs and Patent Act 1988 in respect of the article, and any other moral rights provided for under any laws in any part of the world.

Editorial control

The author agrees that J S Publications may, after consulting the author, add to, omit from or vary the contents of the article. Final editorial control will always rest with J S Publications.

Author warranties

The author must warrant to J S Publications that :

(a) the article does not infringe any existing copyright or licence;
(b) except where the author, on submission of the manuscript, notifies J S Publications in writing, the article is original and no part has previously been published in any form;
(c) the author has the full power to grant this licence and that this licence does not infringe the rights or licence of any other person;
