Description of expertise:
I am Chairman of the South West Thames faculty of the Royal College of General Practitioners and I sit on the executive committee for postgraduate general practice education in Kent, Surrey and Sussex. I work as clinical lead and sit on the Guildford Practice Based Commissioning Board, one of the roles of which is appraising clinical pathways and protocols. I am a commentator for the Royal College of General Practitioners on ethical and medico-legal issues. I am a Member of the Expert Witness
Institute and I have a particular interest in medical negligence cases.
In addition to my general practice training, I also have postgraduate training in accident and emergency, ear, nose and throat, oncology, geriatrics, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology. I am accredited in family planning, child health surveillance and minor surgery.
