Generic Data Resources
... building expert information resources
Data collected to meet a particular information need, as most data tends to be, is ill-equiped to meet other information needs. This is what we call ‘project-specific paralysis’. With most of the cost of data coming at the acquisition stage, it is very odd that so many people simply accept that the one-purpose-only data resource is acceptable.
We don't. We believe that project-specific data resources are an avoidable feature of an organisation's data strategy. By adopting a generic approach to data, where data are stored in accordance with their own needs, it is possible to ease the ‘paralysis’.
If you would like to explore ways of building generic data resources that are capable of meeting current, and future, information needs then lets talk!
We are always happy to discuss you information challenges with you to explore how we may be able to help you.
