I am a broadly trained Consultant General and Cancer Surgeon in current NHS practice, with specialist expertise in thyroid and parathyroid surgery, hernia surgery and extensive experience of breast, soft tissue disorders and complex trauma care. I have been in regular medico-legal practice for more than 20 years. I was Editor in Chief of the European Journal of Surgical Oncology from 2003-09, since when I have been the Subject Chair for Medicine of the SCOPUS curation system for some 8,000 academic journals...

Ms Morris is an Honorary Reader in Medical Statistics at the University of Manchester and enjoys her role as Statistical Editor of the British Medical Journal . Ms Morris is also Statistical Advisor to the Journal of the Royal Society of Medicine .
