Dr Fonseka has a specialist interest in pleural disease and has sat on the British Thoracic Society national guideline committees for both mesothelioma and pleural disease. Mr Joshi's clinical focus is minimally invasive surgery, as well as general thoracic surgical oncology. He also treats patients who require pleural surgery, thymic surgery, diaphragm palsy and hernia, chest wall tumour resection and reconstruction, lung volume reduction, airway and tracheal procedures, as well as emergency thoracic surgery, including chest wall trauma. Mr Joshi also has experience in upper gastrointestinal surgery, mesothelioma and extra-corporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO).
