Re-vetting process
... ongoing scrutiny of experts
Re-vetting enables experts to subject themselves to periodic review by instructing lawyers. It is a voluntary process.
Each lawyer referee is asked whether they are able to make a general recommendation as to the experts abilities as an expert
witness in a number of work categories, including:
- SJE work
- criminal work
- civil work
- report writing
- oral evidence
- cross-examination.
We publish on this web site and in our accompanying software:
- the most recent vetting date for each aspect of the experts role
- the total number
of positive recommendations gained thus far by the expert.
